Deputy Sheriff Arrested on Misdemeanor Charges

On July 14, 2026, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received a call for service from a business in the 6800 block of Fountain Mesa Road in unincorporated El Paso County.

The reporting party stated an adult male had entered the business and inappropriately touched an adult female. The suspect was unknown to the victim and left the scene prior to the Patrol deputies’ arrival.

Through their investigation, deputies identified the suspect as 34-year-old Christopher Ramirez.

Ramirez, a deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, was located, taken into custody without incident, and booked into the El Paso County Jail.

He is charged with Unlawful Sexual Contact.

On July 15, 2026, Ramirez was released on a personal recognizance (PR) bond following his advisement hearing.

Ramirez has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since November 2024 and is assigned to the Detention Security Division. He has been placed on Administrative Leave in accordance with policy.

As this is an active investigation, we will not provide further comments regarding this case.
