Sheriff’s Office Arrests Prolific Sex Assault Suspect

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division has arrested 42-year-old Steven Leckenby, who is suspected of committing a pattern of sexual assaults on children, following an exhaustive investigation. Leckenby faces multiple counts of sexual assault on a child and aggravated incest, with allegations spanning over a decade and involving multiple victims.

Some of the alleged crimes date back to 2012 and extend beyond family connections, underscoring the severity and breadth of these accusations. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are seeking the public’s assistance in uncovering the full extent of this case.

Leckenby resides in the eastern part of unincorporated El Paso County, near Yoder, and is currently being held at the El Paso County Jail on a $75,000 bond. The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes the importance of community involvement in this matter and encourages anyone with information or potential victims to come forward.
