17-Year-Old Charged After Two Shootings at Cheyenne Mountain Estates

On May 11, 2026, at approximately 2:31 AM, the El Paso County Regional Communications Center received a report of a shooting in the Cheyenne Mountain Estates area, near the 8100 block of Piute Road in unincorporated El Paso County.

The caller reported a group of teenagers was outside their residence.

When the group noticed the occupant of the home, one individual allegedly fired multiple rounds toward the home. The residence and several nearby vehicles were struck by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.

Responding Patrol deputies searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects.

On May 12, at approximately 2:30 AM, the same victim contacted dispatch again, reporting the individuals had returned and were banging on their front door.

According to investigators, a suspect then fired a gun in the victim’s direction.

After the initial gunfire, a vehicle fled the scene but returned twice more, with additional shots fired at the residence during each return.

On May 27, detectives with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, working in coordination with the Colorado Springs Police Department, executed multiple search warrants related to the incidents.

Based on evidence recovered and subsequent interviews, investigators established probable cause to charge a 17-year-old female with the following offenses:

-Two counts of attempted murder

-Three counts of menacing

-Criminal mischief

-Unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon

-Prohibited use of weapons

-Reckless endangerment

-Third-degree criminal trespassing

On June 22, the suspect was located, arrested, and booked into the Zebulon Pike Youth Services Center.
