El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Hosts Regional Honor Guard Workshop

Last week, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office proudly hosted its second annual Regional Honor Guard Workshop at the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Building and New Life Church. The workshop provided a platform for sharing knowledge, ideas, and best practices, enabling various agencies to train together to enhance their collective representation of law enforcement.

When we come together and train side by side, we not only enhance our own capabilities but also renew our collective commitment to serve our community with excellence.”  Sheriff Joseph Roybal

The workshop featured expert instructors from multiple agencies, including members from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado Springs Police Department, Colorado Springs Fire Department, Monument Fire Department, and the Black Forest Fire Department. Their leadership and experience provided invaluable insights into effective Honor Guard operations.

Over 70 dedicated professionals from various agencies attended the workshop. Participating organizations included:

  • Colorado Springs Fire Department
  • Larimer County Sheriff’s Office
  • Denver County Sheriff’s Office
  • Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office
  • Fountain Police Department
  • Broomfield Police Department
  • Colorado State Patrol
  • Federal Bureau of Prisons
  • Colorado Department of Corrections
  • Loveland Police Department

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office extends a special thank you to New Life Church for hosting one day of the workshop and to Shield 616 for providing refreshments. Their support and hospitality were instrumental in the success of this collaborative event.
