On August 1, 2025, at approximately 8:45 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of a business located at 6400 Omaha Boulevard in unincorporated El Paso County.
El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Patrol deputies and on-call investigators responded immediately and began an investigation.
The victim was identified and treated by first responders at the scene and subsequently transported by American Medical Response (AMR) to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives conducted interviews and gathered evidence at multiple locations during which witnesses identified 31-year-old Adrian Espinoza as the assailant.
Detectives established probable cause, and an arrest warrant was issued for Espinoza on the following charges:
-Assault in the First Degree
-Aggravated Retaliation Against a Witness or Victim
Espinoza was taken into custody without incident and booked into the El Paso County Jail on Saturday, August 2, 2025, with a bond set at $25,000.
