Deputies Conducting Suspicious Death Investigation on Loomis Avenue in Stratmoor Hills Area

This afternoon, at approximately 2:54 PM, a call came into the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center with a request for medical response to a residence in the 4000 block of Loomis Avenue in unincorporated El Paso County.

When medical personnel from the Stratmoor Hills Fire Department arrived, they believed the scene to be suspicious and located a deceased adult female; they immediately requested a response from law enforcement.

Deputies arrived on scene, located a deceased adult female inside the residence, and began an investigation.

There is no known risk to the community.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to come forward and call the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 719-390-5555.

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office provides identification of the deceased individual and determines the manner and cause of death.

Detectives are in the very early stages of the investigative process. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
