Arrest Made, Sheriff’s Office Seeks Possible Additional Victims in Child Sexual Assault Case

On September 23, 2025, detectives with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) launched an investigation following a report of sexual assaults involving multiple children.

The suspect, 39-year-old Brandon Duba, was in a position of trust over the victims.

Duba was arrested on December 18, 2025, and has been charged with multiple sexual offenses involving children.

He was released from the El Paso County Jail on December 21, 2025, after posting a $250,000 bond.

During the investigation, detectives uncovered information indicating Duba has had extensive access to children in the Pikes Peak region through his work as a (former) bodybuilding trainer and coach who frequently trained at Vasa Fitness on Palmer Park and Elevation Pro Gym facilities. Duba has reportedly taught children’s classes (likely martial arts and bodybuilding) in the Colorado Springs area over the past eight years.

Based on this information, detectives believe additional victims may exist who have not yet come forward.

Sheriff Joseph Roybal stated, Criminals who prey on children represent the most serious threat to the safety and well-being of our community. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office remains fully committed to pursuing these offenders and holding them accountable to the highest level allowed by law. I am incredibly proud of the dedication and professionalism of our Special Victims Unit detectives, whose tireless work ensures thorough, compassionate, and victim-focused investigations.”

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information, or who believes they may have been victimized, is urged to contact the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at (719) 520-7777.
