Sheriff’s Office Seeks Information in Yoder Area Shooting Incident

On April 4, 2026, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call reporting a shooting which had occurred in the late evening hours in the 31000 block of Truckton Road in unincorporated El Paso County.

The reporting party stated an unknown individual banged on their door, and shortly thereafter, they heard multiple gunshots on their property.

Upon checking the area, the reporting party discovered several bullet holes in their vehicle and a broken window in their garage.

No injuries were reported.

Video evidence obtained during the investigation shows an unknown make and model pickup truck turning from Lauppe Road onto Truckton Road and stopping at the reporting party’s residence at approximately 11:07 PM.

The suspect(s) left the area around 11:24 PM, traveling eastbound on Truckton Road toward Yoder Road.
