Former Sheriff’s Deputy Arrested

On December 12, 2024, 63-year-old, Ivan Sundheim, a former Deputy Sheriff with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Spring, Texas and booked into the Harris County Jail where he is being held without bond.   He is charged with Human Trafficking for Involuntary Servitude, a class 3 felony.

Sundheim was employed by the Sheriff’s Office beginning March 1993 until his retirement in April 2013.

These allegations were reported to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in May 2024, an in depth investigation into the allegation lead to an arrest warrant which was issued on December 12, 2024. The alleged incident took place during Sundheim’s employment with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

As this is an active investigation, we will not provide further comments regarding this case.
