Northeastern Sheriff’s Substation Plans Approved

In April, Sheriff Roybal obtained approval from the Board of County Commissioners for funding to construct a new Sheriff’s substation in the Falcon area of unincorporated El Paso County. This facility will serve the eastern and northern parts of the county.

The Pikes Peak region has experienced rapid growth in recent years, a trend expected to continue. As a result, calls for service in some areas of unincorporated El Paso County have increased by over 50%. The new substation will enhance our Office’s ability to respond effectively to this growing demand.

On December 4, 2024, El Paso County issued a Formal Request for Proposal (RFP) to identify a vendor to construct the substation. Proposals are due by 2:00 P.M. on January 29, 2024.

“This is another important milestone in our ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of service for the residents of El Paso County. This substation, the first of its kind for El Paso County, will have a significant impact on our growing community by increasing access to the Sheriff’s Office for those we serve.” – Sheriff Joseph Roybal

The official name of the substation will be announced later.

We will continue to keep our community informed as we progress with this much needed and highly anticipated facility.
