Woman Arrested for Attempted Homicide After Stabbing in Maxwell Street Residence

On November 30, 2025, at approximately 10:31 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a possible domestic violence incident at a residence in the 1600 block of Maxwell Street in the Stratmoor Valley area of unincorporated El Paso County.

The initial reporting party stated a physical altercation was occurring between an adult male and an adult female at the residence, and it sounded as if the female was yelling for help.

At the same time, dispatchers received a separate call requesting medical assistance for an individual with a serious injury.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Patrol deputies arrived on scene. They contacted an adult female identified as 31-year-old Amanda Fahey, a small child, and an adult male with a significant injury to his arm.

Medical personnel from the Stratmoor Hills Fire Department arrived and immediately transported the adult male to a local hospital.

During the investigation, deputies determined during a verbal argument between the two parties, Fahey stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife.

Amanda Fahey was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Jail on the following charges:

  • Domestic Violence
  • Attempted Homicide
  • 2nd Degree Assault
  • Child Abuse

Currently, Fahey is being held without bond.

“Acts of violence within families create deep harm, and our deputies responded with urgency and professionalism to protect everyone involved,” stated El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal. “I am grateful for their swift actions, their compassion for the child on scene, and their commitment to seeking justice for victims in our community. We will continue to hold offenders accountable and ensure every victim receives the support and protection they deserve.”
