Sheriff’s Office Investigates Shooting in the B Street Area

On May 11, 2025, at approximately 8:06 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a shooting at the Hampton Village Apartments in unincorporated El Paso County. Callers stated they witnessed an argument involving several males outside the complex, followed by the sound of gunfire.

Deputies responded and located an adult male with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

There is evidence to support this is an isolated incident and therefore there is no threat to the surrounding community.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 719-520-7777.
