El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Joins Communities Across El Paso County for National Night Out

During the week of August 3, 2026, neighborhoods across the country will come together for National Night Out, an annual community-building initiative designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is proud to participate alongside residents, neighborhood organizations, and community partners throughout the Pikes Peak region.

El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal stated:

“National Night Out is one of the many opportunities we have throughout the year to strengthen the relationship between the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens we proudly serve. Public safety is built on trust, communication, and partnership, and these events allow us to connect with our community in a meaningful way.

“I want to thank the neighborhood watch groups, community leaders, and residents who dedicate their time and effort to organizing these events and supporting public safety initiatives throughout El Paso County. Their commitment to working alongside law enforcement plays an important role in preventing crime and reducing victimization.

“The men and women of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office are honored to serve this community. National Night Out is a reminder of what can be accomplished when law enforcement and citizens stand together with a shared commitment to keeping our neighborhoods safe.”

National Night Out provides an opportunity for deputies, professional staff, volunteers, and community members to connect outside of traditional calls for service. Across El Paso County, residents will host block parties, cookouts, and neighborhood gatherings featuring safety demonstrations, youth activities, emergency responder visits, educational opportunities, and other events focused on building stronger communities.

On Tuesday, July 21, the El Paso County Board of Commissioners recognized the importance of National Night Out through a formal proclamation honoring the initiative. Community members also attended, a testament to the positive impact these events have on neighborhoods throughout El Paso County.

Sheriff Joseph Roybal and members of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office—including sworn deputies, professional staff, volunteers, and members of the Sheriff’s Posse—will participate in ten National Night Out events across unincorporated El Paso County. Events will take place in communities including Monument, Hanover, Peyton, Falcon, Black Forest, and others.
