El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Supports Special Olympics Colorado

Last week, members of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, both sworn and professional staff, braved freezing waters and hit the trail for a 5K Run and Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics Colorado. The event, held at the historic Rock Ledge Ranch in Colorado Springs, brought together multiple agencies from across the Pikes Peak region to raise funds and awareness for this meaningful cause.

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our team and supporters, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office proudly raised $5,585 in support of local Special Olympics athletes. Our efforts were recognized with two honors: Top Fundraising Law Enforcement Agency and Most Team Spirit, a reflection of our commitment to community and service.

In continued support, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is helping to raffle off a brand-new 2024 Ford F-150 4X4 Supercrew, with proceeds going directly to Special Olympics Colorado.

From Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28, the Special Olympics F-150 will be on display outside the Office of the Sheriff in downtown Colorado Springs. We invite community members to stop by, scan the QR code to enter the raffle, and snap a photo with the truck.
