Reminder: Stage II Fire Restrictions Continue Across Unincorporated El Paso County

On behalf of Sheriff Joseph Roybal, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office reminds residents and visitors Stage II Fire Restrictions remain in effect for all unincorporated areas of El Paso County.

“Protecting the safety of our residents remains my highest priority,” said El Paso County Sheriff and Fire Warden Joseph Roybal. “Strong winds, dry conditions, several active wildfires across Colorado stretching available resources, above-average temperatures, and limited relief in the forecast continue to create an elevated wildfire risk across the Pikes Peak region.

“Stage II Fire Restrictions remain an important tool for reducing wildfire risk and protecting our communities. I encourage everyone to stay informed, follow all fire restriction guidelines, and use caution while enjoying Colorado’s beautiful outdoor spaces.

“Through shared responsibility and awareness, we can help prevent wildfires and keep our community safe.”

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the continued cooperation of residents and visitors as local fire agencies work together to reduce wildfire risk and protect lives, property, and natural resources.
