The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce it has been selected to host the 19th Annual North American Mounted Unit Commanders Association (NAMUCA) Conference, April 4–8, 2027, at the Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs.
The 2027 conference will mark the first time NAMUCA has been held west of the Mississippi River, bringing mounted law enforcement professionals from across the United States, Canada, and other countries to Colorado Springs for a week of training, networking, and professional development.
Today, NAMUCA has become a premier organization for information, training, and networking among mounted law enforcement professionals. The association has continued to expand its international reach, with past conference attendees representing the United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Israel, Brazil, and Taiwan.
NAMUCA’s continued growth reflects the important role mounted units play in law enforcement and public safety. The association works to strengthen professional relationships, advance training, showcase mounted equipment, and promote the exchange of information among mounted law enforcement professionals worldwide.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office looks forward to welcoming NAMUCA members to Colorado Springs in 2027.

The 2027 conference is expected to bring mounted law enforcement professionals from across North America and international agencies to Colorado Springs. Conference activities will provide opportunities for specialized training, networking, demonstrations, and the exchange of best practices among mounted units.
